🔗 Andrew's URL Shortener
Create branded short links for andrewfllewellyn.com
How to set up redirects in Squarespace:
- Generate your short URL above - Copy both the short URL and the full UTM URL
- Go to Squarespace Settings:
- Log into your Squarespace dashboard
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Select Developer Tools → URL Mappings
- Add the redirect:
- Click New Mapping or Add New Mapping
- Format:
/your-slug -> /your URL page path with UTMs 302
- Example:
/SlackLists -> /blog/project-management-slack-vs-clickup-asana?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=SlackListsProjectManagement 302
- Why 302? Temporary redirects are better for short links because:
- • You might change the destination URL later
- • Search engines won't cache the redirect permanently
- • Gives you flexibility to update links
- Click Save
- Test your link:
- Wait 5-10 minutes for changes to propagate
- Visit
https://andrewfllewellyn.com/your-slug in a new incognito window
- It should redirect to your full UTM URL
💡 Pro Tips:
• Use 302 redirects for short links (not 301)
• Test redirects in an incognito/private window
• Squarespace changes take 5-10 minutes to go live
• You can edit or delete redirects anytime in URL Mappings
