🔗 Andrew's URL Shortener

Create branded short links for andrewfllewellyn.com

andrewfllewellyn.com/

How to set up redirects in Squarespace:

  1. Generate your short URL above - Copy both the short URL and the full UTM URL
  2. Go to Squarespace Settings:
    • Log into your Squarespace dashboard
    • Click Settings (gear icon)
    • Select Developer Tools → URL Mappings
  3. Add the redirect:
    • Click New Mapping or Add New Mapping
    • Format: /your-slug -> /your URL page path with UTMs 302
    • Example: /SlackLists -> /blog/project-management-slack-vs-clickup-asana?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=SlackListsProjectManagement 302
    • Why 302? Temporary redirects are better for short links because:
    • • You might change the destination URL later
    • • Search engines won't cache the redirect permanently
    • • Gives you flexibility to update links
    • Click Save
  4. Test your link:
    • Wait 5-10 minutes for changes to propagate
    • Visit https://andrewfllewellyn.com/your-slug in a new incognito window
    • It should redirect to your full UTM URL
💡 Pro Tips: • Use 302 redirects for short links (not 301)
• Test redirects in an incognito/private window
• Squarespace changes take 5-10 minutes to go live
• You can edit or delete redirects anytime in URL Mappings
